ATTENTION: U.S. Senate Youth Program

United States Senate Youth Program


Each year the William Randolph Hearst Foundation sponsors a scholarship for two student leaders from each state and the District of Columbia to visit Washington, D. C. (all expenses paid), as guest of the Hearst Foundation; and a $5,000 college scholarship for undergraduate studies at an accredited United States college/university.

During the visit to Washington, D.C., students engage in a series of seminars and briefings with U.S. Senators and members of the House of Representatives, as well as meet with officials from the executive and judicial branches of government.

August 2, 2010- Announcement of the 2010-2011 United States Senate Youth Program
October 8, 2010- Student Application forms + essays due
November 8, 2010- Semi-Finalist Interviews
49th Annual United States Senate Youth Program that will take place in Washington, D.C. March 5-12, 2011
