A down-zoning effort is in the early stages in Community Board 8, and we hope to initiate a similar process soon in Community Board 9. City Planning News: Rezoning
The Fort Greene and Clinton Hill section of our Council District was re-zoned in July of 2007. Now, that effort is being extended to the rest of our Council District. The Department of City Planning (DCP) has a well-defined procedure for re-zoning called the Uniform Land Use Review Process (ULURP); you can learn more here: http://www.nyc.gov/html/dcp/html/luproc/ulpro.shtml
