NEW GRANTS PROGRAM FROM CITIZENS COMMITTEE FOR NEW YORK CITY
A new block transformation grants program has been implemented, which is intended to support 50 resident-led block beautification projects. Community groups can request a wide range of services from the NYC Departments of Sanitation, Parks & Recreation, and Transportation that will be completed over the course of the grant cycle.
Awardees will receive a $500 cash grant along with expedited support from city agencies for block improvements.

The deadline for applications is November 30, 2009.
